About 375 people stopped by College Ave Church on Monday to enjoy food, gifts and fellowship.
WOODSTOCK - About 375 people stopped by College Ave Church for this year's Christmas Day Event.
Those who attended on Monday received a gift, enjoyed delicious good and took part in social activities.
Director Marilyn Schmiedl says everyone was very appreciative.
"It was nice to see at the end of the day, the people who received gifts and food helped out in clearing tables and putting tables and chairs away and were just totally grateful."
Schmiedl says Operation Sharing has been throwing this gathering for over 10 years, bringing the community together for the holiday.
"It's more of a social gathering especially for people who don't have loved ones or someone to share the day with. They can play cards and just mainly socialize and have a sense of being not alone and being with someone."
