It's in the emergency department and there's three affected time frames.
TILLSONBURG - Another measles exposure has been reported in the emergency department of Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
Southwestern Public Health is warning people who were there during the following three time frames:
- 8:19 p.m. on Thursday April 24th and 2:54 p.m. on Friday April 25th
- 11:28am and 4:20pm on Friday. April 25th
- 10:24am on Sunday April 27th and 9:00 p.m. on Monday April 28th
Southwestern Public Health says measles is highly contagious and it can linger in the air for up to two hours.
If you were there during those times and you were born in 1970 or later, you should call the health unit if you're not up to date on your vaccinations. The phone number is 1-800-922-0096.
In the latest report released on April 24th, Public Health Ontario reported 24 new measles cases in the province, including 15 in the Southwestern Public Health Region. This brings the total case count in the province to 1,020 since the outbreak began in October, including 372 in Oxford, Elgin and Middlesex.
