Announcements on potentially re-opening schools and possibly extending the Stay-At-Home order expected in the next day or two.
ONTARIO - The province of Ontario will be making an announcement on schools potentially re-opening on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.
Premier Doug Ford says this is a big decision and they want to make sure they get it right.
"We are looking at all of the responses over the weekend, we will have an announcement in the next day or two and we will get out there and make that announcement about going back to school or not."
Last week Ford sent a letter to all of the Health and education stakeholders in Ontario asking for input on the decision. He wants a consensus before making an announcement.
The Science Advisory Table has publicly stated they think schools should reopen on a regional basis.
Meanwhile the Stay-At-Home order expires on Wednesday. Deputy Premier Christine Elliott has stated an announcement on whether or not that will be extended will also be made in the next day or two.
