The Oxford County Animal Rescue will be hosting its Valentine's Day Bake Sale and Kitty Adoption Event this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford County Animal Rescue is back with its sweetest fundraiser of the year.
It will be hosting its Valentine's Day Bake Sale and Kitty Adoption Event this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its Woodstock office located at 789 Dundas Street.
Rescue Director and Foster Coordinator Anna Holmes says their bake sales are always a hit.
"Our bake sales are pretty famous, our Thanksgiving and our Valentine's Day bake sales because they're different. Our Valentine's one focuses more on the really sweet things like cheesecakes, cupcakes, fudges, candy corn, and all of those fun things that everyone wants to bring home to their sweetheart."
Those who stop by will also be able to check out some of the cats they have up for adoption. They currently have 11 cats up for adoption and Holmes says they all go through vet checks before they go to their forever homes.
Holmes says they all go through vet checks before they go to their forever homes.
"They have to be healthy before they can receive any of their vaccines. If they have not been spayed or neutered then we need to get that on board, they don't necessarily need to be done before they are adopted but we need to have that appointment scheduled and ready for them to go."
You can find more details about the Oxford County Animal Rescue and the animals they have up for adoption online here.
Holmes called the Heart FM studio on Wednesday February 1st for her monthly chat with Dan and Marcie. You can listen to the full interview below:
