A 53-year-old Kitchener man, accused of drunk driving in a crash that killed a 17-month-old girl is out on bail. Hugh Brake was freed on bail Tuesday. He had been in custody since March 16th, when the U-Haul van he was driving slammed into the back of a disabled car on the side of Highway 7/8 in Kitchener. Brake faces numerous charges including impaired driving causing death. 17-month-old Angelina Zhu of Stratford was killed in the crash, and her mother seriously injured. Brake has no previous criminal record, and will be back in court in April.
