UPDATE: Chilly Charlie saw his shadow this morning, so we're in for another six weeks of winter here in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - Everyone is waiting to see if Chilly Charlie will see his shadow today.
The annual Groundhog Day event is going virtual this year at the Southgate Centre in Woodstock. Heart FM's Cody Hayward is one of a few people who will get to take in the event live and will report if Chilly Charlie see's his shadow later this morning.
They will be posting the Facebook Live video at 7:45 a.m. this morning. If Chilly Charlie emerges from his burrow and sees his shadow, it means we will have six more weeks of winter, however if he doesn't see his shadow, it means we are in store for an early Spring.
South Gate is also doing their annual sausage and pancake breakfast at the drive through at Local Roots. You don't need to order ahead of time, just show up between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and breakfast only costs $6. Breakfast will be delivered by curbside pickup and they will have plenty of safety precautions in place.
