Youth will celebrate what makes them unique and the things that bring us all together during a special event.
WOODSTOCK - Youth will find support and encouragement as the Woodstock Youth Committee hosts a Celebration of Life in Colour.
The event in Southside Park features a 4K colour run, lunch, and a dance.
Founder of the Woodstock Youth Committee Christina Atkinson says they will also have some local support services available alongside all the fun activities.
"We will be joined by a number of like minded advocates seeking to change the conversation such as CMHA, Oxford County Community Health Team, Youth Suicide Prevention, What the Health, Oxford County Pride, Kids' Help Phone."
Atkinson believes people could leave the event feeling strengthened and reassured.
"It is my hope that anyone who attends will find the connection they are seeking with themselves and with us and the support in our community."
Tickets for the colour run are $5 with the money supporting the event and future projects promoting mental health and wellness.
Things get started at 9 a.m. and should wrap up around 9 p.m.
