Icy roads may have been a factor in several collisions this morning.
It was deja vu on the 401 today.
All eastbound lanes were closed after a crash involving a tractor trailer and two other vehicles that blocked all three lanes of the highway in the Drumbo area.
That was one of several collisions between Drumbo and Ayr that closed the highway from the 403 to Cedar Creek Road for 2 1/2 hours.
But unlike last week when the same stretch was closed, no one was killed.
Just minor injuries resulted from today's crashes that OPP Constable Lisa Narancsik attributes to driver error. "People were not adjusting to the road conditions. I think that there was some ice out there, and there were some icy conditions, but people were not adjusting their driving to the conditions that were presented."
With more high winds and snow on the way Friday and Saturday, Narancsik says people need to slow down, and leave space between vehicles, especially on the high traffic 401.
