Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County is expecting to sell out at the 3rd installment of Brews and Bros next month, allowing them to continue to offer mentoring programs to the community.
WOODSTOCK - Brews and Bros is back in Woodstock.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County partnered with the Upper Thames Brewing Company to put on the event for the third year in a row.
Resource Development Manager Liz Wismer-Van Meer of BBBS of Oxford County says tickets are available, but they will sell fast.
"We are opening it to everybody it is an age-majority event, of course. Tickets are $25.00 and this event sold out last year so you really should get your tickets in advance as soon as possible because we are limited on the size of occupancy we can bring into the Upper Thames Brewing Company, so tickets do go quick. We recommend you get those quickly."
The event will feature a tour of the brewery, along with participating in the 2019 wing competition. Van Meer says ticket holders will also get a free pint, courtesy of Midas Woodstock.
She says these type of events help them continue their mentoring programs.
"There's no ongoing funding that we receive so these events are really, really important for us to be able to continue with our mentoring programs and services. And our numbers are growing. We have more and more kids that are coming into the agency and that require that mentor, whether it's one-on-one or through our group programs, so events like this are really important to us. We also just want people to come out and have some fun and learn a little bit about what Big Brothers Big Sisters is all about."
You can purchase tickets by visiting the BBBS office or calling them at 519-537-6404. Tickets can also be bought online here.
Brews and Bros is on June 7th and it goes from 7:30 to 11:00pm.
