WOODSTOCK - A 21-year-old novice driver from Woodstock was charged with open alcohol at a R.I.D.E check in Charlotteville.
On Sunday, November 6, around 2 a.m., Norfolk OPP stopped the vehicle on McDowell Road West and checked the driver's sobriety.
The Woodstock resident was charged for having an open container of liquor while driving and also had a blood alcohol concentration above zero, which is not prohibited for novice drivers.
Their driver's licence was suspended for a mandatory three days as a result.
