Crokinole players from across Canada and the United States will meet up in Tavistock for the World Crokinole Championships.
TAVISTOCK - Tavistock is hosting the World Crokinole Championships today!
Doubles action will get underway at the Tavistock and District Rec Centre starting at 8am. Board Coordinator John Schultz says the afternoon will be packed with the singles divisions.
"With the singles we have five different categories. We have what we call the adults the more competitive ones, we have a recreational for ones who maybe aren't quite so serious, we have cue shooters then we have juniors and intermediates."
Schultz adds the approximately 300 players participating have come from far and wide.

The championships should wrap up a around 9pm and $6,800 in prize money will be handed out to the winners in each division.
