A 40 year old woman from Woodstock was charged with driving over the legal limit of alcohol while she had a young child in the back seat.
WOODSTOCK - A 40 year old woman from Woodstock is accused of driving while over the legal limit of alcohol with a young child in the back seat.
The woman was pulled over in Simcoe on Friday night. Police pulled her over after receiving complaints about a car passing other vehicle unsafely and putting others at risk.
The woman was eventually charged with driving over the legal limit.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says they appreciated the tip from the public.
"The OPP would like to thank the concerned member of the public that contacted police. As a result, officers were able to locate the vehicle and take the driver into custody without incident. This simple phone call saved lives, including the life of an innocent child that was located in the vehicle."
