The Woodstock Public Library's Summer Writing Contest is back for young writers.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Public Library is inviting young writers to let their words flow
The Summer Writing contests for kids ages 6-12 years old and teens 13-18 has officially launched.
Manager of Public Services, Megan Cook talks about what the contest is.
"It's kind of a call out for all poets and story tellers to submit an original poem or short story for the month of July."
Award winning local author Vikki VanSickle will be judging the contest. She is known for young adult novels such as P.S Tell No One, The Winnowing, and the Words That Start With B series.
The winner of the contest will have their piece displayed in the library and be added to their collection.
To enter the contest, email your poem or short story to programs@mywpl.ca and the deadline to enter is July 31st.
