Woodstock Library Set to Reopen on Tuesday

The Woodstock Public Library will open their doors to the public once again on Tuesday, February 23rd with several COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines in place.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Public Library will open their doors to the public once again on Tuesday, February 23rd. 

Patrons will be able to explore the library stacks to browse, borrow and go. Due to provincial restrictions, the library will only allow 10 people inside the building at one time. 

You will need to be screened before entering and face coverings and social distancing is required while in the building. Returned items will only be accepted using the book return and the books will be in quarantine for 6 days. 

Library CEO David Harvie says they will be asking people to limit their visits. 

"As a courtesy to others, we ask patrons to limit the length of their visits. We strongly recommend that patrons use our online catalogue to reserve items and schedule their visit once they have received notification for quick and efficient service." 

Curb-side pick-ups will still be available during normal library hours by appointments. Harvie says they will have some limits on resources as well. 

At this time we are unable to offer access to our microfilm readers, public Internet computers, and study space”, said Mr. Harvie. “As restrictions are removed for our region by the province, we will be able to offer more services to our patrons."
