The Woodstock Fire Department has issued a complete ban on all open-air burning within the municipality.
WOODSTOCK- The Woodstock Fire Department has issued a ban on all open-air burning within the municipality.
The ban is in place due to the current dry conditions with no significant rainfall in the forecast.
The ban applies to all recreational and agricultural burning. All active burn permits are suspended, no new open-air fire permits will be issued, and no fireworks permits will be issued.
There is currently no end date for when the ban will be lifted, but the ongoing conditions will be monitored.
