Tickets go on sale Monday for Woodstock Day at the Rogers Centre
Tickets are set to go on sale Monday morning for the 10th edition of Woodstock Day at Rogers Centre.
The tradition continues this year on Saturday, April 26th when the Blue Jays take on the Boston Red Sox.
Local residents can once again buy tickets to the game, along with either school bus or VIA Rail transportation to and from the game at Rogers Centre.
Event Organizer Brad Janssen says the seating is set to change this year. "This year it's $5 cheaper to travel on the bus. The reason being, we've changed locations from our traditional 3rd base, left field vantage point to the 200 Level between 1st base and right field. The reason being the section runs 13 rows deep, we feel it's a better value, and certainly a good view of the field."
Tickets for the game and bus ride are $45 this year, while the VIA rail package is going for $60-$90, depending on age.
Janssen says either way you travel, it's a great deal. "The price point is the big thing. It's a very economical way to maybe beat those winter blahs and get the whole family out to the ballpark. You don't have to drive, you don't have to worry about parking. We'll get you there and back and we'll fly the flags of the City of Woodstock."
Highlights include a kids from Woodstock participating in the 7th inning stretch, as well one lucky boy or girl will be selected to throw out the opening pitch.
Tickets are on sale starting at 9 o'clock Monday morning at the Community Complex box office.
Janssen expects ticket sales will be brisk. "Ya I think so, when you can see the defending world champions and the Boston Red Sox are of course a big rival of the Blue Jays that's one of the draws. That and the fact that it's the 10th anniversary of this program."
