WOODSTOCK - The 65th Annual Juried Exhibition is returning to The Woodstock Art Gallery.
Visual Elements 65 will feature a diverse selection of local and international artwork. Director and Curator Mary Reid said they wanted to do something special in celebration of the milestone. To add a new spin the exhibit, the art gallery thought to extend the call for artists to its sister city.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to promote cultural exchange between Woodstock and its sister city, Sylvania, Ohio, and showcase our local artists on the international stage,” Reid said.
Artists are invited to submit up to two works of art in any medium.
The submissions will then be juried by Canadian artists Irma Makariunaite and Thelma Rosner, representing Oxford County, and American artists Tamara Monk and Ken Thompson, representing Sylvania.
Visual Elements 65 will be on view at the WAG July 15 to September 24. The exhibition is set to travel to Lourdes University in October.
Submissions for the exhibit will be accepted until May 1st. For more information visit the Woodstock Art Gallery.
