Brace for it, the first major snow storm of the year is heading our way.
OXFORD / BRANT - Old man winter is returning. A special weather statement has been issued by Environment Canada.
Snow and very cold temperatures expected this weekend in Brant and Oxford Counties.
The first major storm of the year will begin late tonight and continue into Saturday evening.
Accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
Motorists should be cautious on the roads, and drive according to the conditions.
Cold temperatures and winds will accompany the snow, resulting in some blowing snow as well as wind chill values near minus 20 Saturday.
Even colder wind chill values approaching minus 30 are possible Sunday into Monday morning.
