A detached garage caught fire on Argyle Street in Woodstock and firefighters were able to quickly respond.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Fire Department were called to a fire on Argyle Street.
Crews responded to the scene at just after 3:10 yesterday afternoon for a report of a structure fire. Heavy smoke and flames were visible from a detached garage at the rear of the property. WFD says no individuals were in the structure at the time of the fire and there were no injuries to the residents of the corresponding home or homes.
The structure is destroyed and a fence between the garage and the neighbouring home is damaged. The estimated damage is $100,000, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Quick response by fire crews prevented fire spread to the home and surrounding properties.
