WFD Presents 2024 Report to City Council

The Woodstock Fire Department was at the latest Woodstock City Council meeting and presented their 2024 report.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council received an annual report from the Woodstock Fire Department.

The report showed activities and performances from last year. There was a 2 per cent increase in emergency calls, which was 86 fire events with $978,256 in loss. On the fire prevention side there were 402 fire safety inspections, which included 17 Vulnerable Occupancy inspections, which are multi-day events. There were also shared safety messages at 195 educational events.

The report indicates that ongoing training is important every year to make sure the firefighters are ready to respond quickly to a wide range of emergency situations.
