WOODSTOCK - The woman accused of killing 8 people in Woodstock and London made a brief court appearance this morning.
Elizabeth Tracey Mae Wettlaufer appeared before the courts via a video conference for about 2 minutes at the Woodstock court house. Her case was delayed until Thursday December 8th. One of the victims daughters was at the courthouse today.
Susan Horvath lost her father Art Horvath and described what it was like to see the woman accused of murdering her father in court today.
"I was angry, you know when your in school and you see some bully and you just want to... you know what I mean."
Horvath says she plans on attending more hearings for her dad and she has been dealing with victim services for support. She doesn't have a lot of information at this time but says she understands why police are being tight lipped.
"But I understand what they are doing, they are trying to get an air tight case that's their job, they are trying to do their best that they can at this so I understand why they are withholding, this is all going to come out in the end anyway, it's just a waiting game. The wait is hard, it's taking a toll on my health and my mom, all these other people I talked to that can't come forward, they are watching me and I'm standing up for them as well."
Horvath spoke to the assembled media with the help of a cane and her dog. She was in a head on collision recently with a teenager who was texting and driving and is waiting for a new hip.
Wettlaufer is facing 8 counts of first degree murder with seven of them happening at the Caressant Care in Woodstock.
