After 33-years with Ingersoll, CAO Darrell Parker is retiring
Oxford County's CAO carousel continues to turn.
Ingersoll is in the market for a new Chief Administrator after Darrell Parker has announced his retirement.
Parker, who was promoted from Fire Chief, has been running Town Hall since 2011, but has been an employee for over 33-years.
Ingersoll Mayor Ted Comiskey says in that time, he has helped put together a strong staff, and has righted their financial ship. "In the past, before I came on board, we kicked the living heck out of our reserves. We had zero reserves when this council came into play. And so, realizing that, we needed to get a staff in place to take a serious look at this and where we are headed."
Comiskey says although Parker has been CAO for just over 2-years, he has accomplished what he promised to do. "He said he'd be there for us as long as he could to put together a staff. That's what he promised me he would do, and that what he's done. It's a great staff he's assembled. I respect him immensely. He's a good friend, he's a good man, and I'm going to miss him immensely."
The vacant CAO position is posted on the town's website, and closes on December 20th.
