The 40th anniversary of the Walk for Dog Guides will come to Woodstock this month at Southside Park.
WOODSTOCK - A fundraising walk is coming to Woodstock.
The Walk for Dog Guides will take place at Southside Park to raise funds for a new building that trains guide dogs for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. Woodstock Lions Club member, Jennifer Harrington, shares some details.
"On the 27th, I expect to go in a little roundabout that we have. We've created a walk in the park, and after walking in the park, we have snacks and prizes."
Harrington says you can also pick up your invisible dog, and if you want to learn more about what that is, you should come out to the event. She mentions the goal of the walk.
"We would like you to get pledges, and you can get them at Pet Value, all your vet, if you have a vet in town, and through the website, walkfordogguides.com, you can get your pledge form through them."
Registration will start at 10 a.m. with the walk beginning at 10:30 on September 27th. If you would like more information about the event, click here, or for more information about the entire program, click here.
