Local organizations in need extra help can now sign up to be an exhibitor at the upcoming Community Volunteer Fair.
WOODSTOCK - Registration is now open for the Community Volunteer Fair at Cowan Park.
Organizer Sylvie Morin says they're inviting local service clubs in need of some extra hands.
"We're looking for any service group or organization that needs a volunteer workforce to do their operations, basically to function."
Morin adds it's a great recruitment opportunity.
"With the technology the way it is today you can go on any website, Google anything see 'you can fill out this form if you want to be a volunteer' and it's very generic for the most part. But what people want is more information, they want that face to face communication that says this is exactly what we're looking for, this is the type of person that would fit in this position."
The fair is set to take place on Saturday May 12th from 1pm to 4pm.
Those interested in signing up can e-mail Sylvie Morin at smtmorin@gmail.com. You can also find more information on their Facebook event page.
