One was in the Emergency Department waiting room at Woodstock Hospital and the other was in the Emergency Department of TDMH.
WOODSTOCK/TILLSONBURG - Southwestern Public Health is reporting two new cases of measles exposure in Oxford County.
It's warning people who were in the Emergency Department of Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital from 8:44 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday March 25th. The other exposure was in the waiting room of the Emergency Department at Woodstock Hospital, between 2:33 p.m. and 4:43 p.m. on Wednesday March 26th
If you were there during those times and you're born in 1970 or later, you should call the health unit if you're not up to date on your vaccinations. The phone number is 1-800-922-0096.
The latest report from Public Health Ontario stated last week, that 572 measles cases has been reported in the province since the outbreak began in October, 2024. Over 250 of those cases were reported within the Southwestern Public Health region.
