A truck driver's superior driving skills are being credited for avoiding a serious collision on the 401 near Woodstock. Oxford OPP say around 6:30 this morning near the Sweaburg Road cut-off, witnesses observed a transport truck get cut off by a second vehicle causing the truck to leave the roadway, go airborne and land in a surrounding field. Police say the transport driver's driving skills averted a more serious collision as the truck would have likely rolled over or collided with other vehicles on the highway. The driver was not injured, the truck was removed from the field and traffic was moving smoothly through the area again shortly after 9 am.
