An 86-thousand dollar tractor has been stolen right from a farm in Zorra Township. The theft happened on the 25th Line, sometime after 9:30PM Tuesday, and 8:30 Wednesday morning. The missing tractor is a blue 2006 New Holland model TM 120. A photo of a similar model is pictured on the right, however, not shown in the photo is an ALO front end loader/bucket that was attached to the tractor. Any one with info should contact Oxford OPP 519-688-6540 or Crime Stoppers at 1800-222-TIPS. Police also have the following advice for rural landowners to prevent these types of thefts: *Don't leave major equipment in a field overnight. Lock it in a barn or shed near the house, or park where it can be seen from your house or a neighbour's. *If machines must be left out for long periods of time, disable them by removing the rotor, distributor, or battery. *Keep small equipment - like mowers, bikes, snowmobiles locked in a barn or garage. *Thieves hate bright lights. Install outside lights and keep them on at night. *Warn thieves that you're on the alert with "No Hunting?, ?No Trespassing," and other signs around your property.
