It was a sea of purple in downtown Woodstock Saturday night. Over 1000 people turned out to a candlelight vigil for Tori Stafford. The crowd at a downtown parking lot swelled to over 1000 strong, the majority wearing purple, Tori's favourite colour. Dozens of purple balloons were released into the evening sky. Tori's mother Tara McDonald says her daughter will never be forgotten. "Victoria might have been tiny, but she managed to reach millions and millions and millions of people with her tiny little smile, and her personality and I hope nobody ever forgets her for a second." The 8-year-old Woodstock girl was taken far too young over 3-years-ago in a violent abduction and murder. The two responsible for her death are serving life sentences in prison. Tori's father Rodney Stafford was impressed by the show of support. "It's a lovely turnout again, 3-years later, showing the same support for Victoria. The only difference is she's hope now and laid to rest, and Woodstock, yes, we did get justice thanks to you." (Crowd cheers) Her story brought people from as far away as Toronto. Sharon shared her thoughts with the crowd. "Tori was a beautiful little girl. I never met her, but I miss her." The ceremony also featured some of Tori's favourite songs, and a tribute song from artist Jack London called "Tori and Us". Joan from Woodstock may have given the most fitting tribute of the night - "Woodstock may have lost a tom-boy diva, but heaven has the most beautiful angel. We miss you Tori."
