The Toss Em Up for Childhood Cancer Ring Toss Tournament is set to take place at the Innerkip Community Centre this Saturday.
INNERKIP - The Toss Em Up for Childhood Cancer Ring Toss Tournament is getting set to take over the Innerkip Community Centre.
Teams of two will compete in the Ring Toss tournament this Saturday with the opening ceremonies starting at 1 p.m.
Committee member Deb Roloson says you will want to come early to see the opening ceremonies at 12:30.
"It's pretty impactful because we speak to some of the people who have been touched by this disease, but also we introduce national riders who are participating in the Coast to Coast ride and we have had lot's of local riders."
The event is held every year in the memory of 19 year old Nick Van Dyk and 13 year Cassy Mann who both lost their life to cancer at a young age.
All of the money raised will help send riders to the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride.
"Over the past 8 years We have raised Over $250,000 for this cause, the Van Dyk family also runs a tournament in Seaforth which took place in June of this year and that tournament alone this year raised over $26,000."
Roloson says it's always a great day with the Ring Toss tournment and they will also have the beer gardens going, a BBQ and a silent auction.
It costs $40 for a team of two and you register by calling Roloson at 519-535-9147.
