The Tori's Law protest is a way to show support for Victoria Stafford and protest the move of her killer Terri Lynne McClintic to an aboriginal healing lodge in Saskatchewan.
WOODSTOCK - A couple of rallies are planned this week in relation to Tori Stafford.
On Friday hundreds of people are expected to rally in front of the Parliament buildings to Support Tori's Law. The protest surrounds the decision to move her killer, Terri Lynne McClintic to an aboriginal healing lodge in Saskatchewan. The Conservatives are working to bring another motion that would forbid child killers from being allowed at healing lodges.
Another support rally is happening in Woodstock on Saturday in front of the Court house from 11 am to 1 pm. Everyone is asked to wear purple on Saturday and Friday in memory of Victoria.
The rally in Woodstock is happening at the Court House and local dignitaries are expected to be in attendance. Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch says he plans on going.
"We will have a gathering for those who want to remember Tori and we have had a lot of news lately with the transfer of McClintic to the healing lodge and a lot of people in our community are upset that the verdict from that trial is not being upheld the way they thought it would be. So we are having a rally at 11 a.m. on Saturday in front of the court house and I am expecting a great turnout, so make sure you come out and tell your friends."
