United Way Oxford will match donations to the Supplies 4 Students program this summer thanks to a $10,000 donation from TMMC.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford is going to be able to match donations for Supplies 4 Students this summer thanks to a generous donation from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Company.
TMMC has donated $10,000 to the program. United Way will use those funds to match donations this summer, until they hit the $10,000 mark. That means if you donate $100 to Supplies4Students, they will have $200 to spend on local children to help them get ready for school in September.
Executive Director for United Way Oxford Kelly Gilson says this program has helped so many local families feel confident heading into the school year.
"Oxford Supplies4Students is an innovative program that provides much appreciated assistance to families that are struggling financially during the expensive back-to-school season by allowing them to purchase what they need, when they need it."
Gilson says all of the donations raised help local kids by school supplies for the fall.
"United Way is pleased to provide the necessary management required as in-kind support, thereby ensuring that 100% of the donations go directly to Oxford students. And now, thanks to the generosity of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc., any additional community donations will be matched up to $10,000! Double the impact and double donation means double the help at a time when so many of
our neighbours are under financial stress."
