Oxford OPP were made aware of a scam this week. A Tillsonburg resident was taken for close to $6,000 in cryptocurrency.
TILLSONBURG - A Tillsonburg resident has fallen victim to a scam.
Oxford OPP were made aware of the incident this past Monday.
The scam started as the scammer posed as a friend on an online gaming platform, and spent time gaining the trust of the victim.
With the information, the scammer then used it to steal approximately $6,000 in cryptocurrency.
