The CAO for the Town of Tillsonburg has resigned to take a new position with the City of Cambridge.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg is going to have to hire a new Chief Administrative Officer.
David Calder has resigned from the position to accept a job as the new City Manager/CAO with the City of Cambridge. Mayor Stephen Molnar says that Calder is going to be missed.
“David has been a dedicated and highly effective leader. During the past six and a half years, he has dealt with the challenges and opportunities in our municipality in a transparent, professional and effective manner. Council, staff and the community at large have benefitted significantly from his impressive knowledge, accessibility and leadership.”
Molnar says Calder has done a great job during his tenure at the Town of Ingersoll.
“David demonstrated valuable leadership in a number of areas during his tenure in Tillsonburg including progressive hiring strategies and financial management. He leaves our municipality in a very strong position for future growth and we sincerely thank him for his contributions and dedicated service.”
The CAO is the only municipal position directly hired by Council. Molnar says Council will start a search for Calder's replacement immediately.
“We want to ensure our forward momentum continues in the days and months to come.”
