Thursday Night Lights will have College Ave Secondary School hosting the IDCI Bombers.
WOODSTOCK - College Ave Secondary School is preparing to take on the IDCI Bombers in a Thursday Night Lights Showdown.
CASS is going all out as they get set to take on one of their biggest rivals. They will have a BBQ and Live entertainment with a Professional DJ starting at 5:30 p.m. Also they will have a former Canadian Idol contestant Gwendolyn Stellar singing the National Anthem and the game will start at 6:00 pm.
Head Coach for CASS Colin Braney tells Heart FM the rivalry is still very much alive when Woodstock takes on Ingersoll.
"These Oxford County battles are just awesome to prepare for, they bring everybody out, it gets everybody involved and these are rivalries that are going back many years. So we just want to elevate that by playing these games as night and we want to get as many people out there as possible to watch the Knights take on the Bombers."
Braney says the CASS team is looking strong this year and will bring a balanced attack into Thursday nights game.
"We like to run the rock, we have a couple of great running backs in our stable who play pretty well but we also have a great system quarterback Aiden Campbell who plays well in our spread offence, we love to put the ball in the air, we have some great receivers who can certainly go out and get it and our line is one of the best in the league this year and they hold those guys back and make everything go. We are a balanced offence, but we certainly like to throw the ball too."
