A travelling exhibit is nearing the end of its journey in Oxford County.
Patriotism and Production takes a look at what was happening here in Oxford during World War One and it has been moving to different venues as part of Oxford Remembers.
The exhibit was originally created by the Woodstock Museum National Historic Site. Manager of Culture for the City of Woodstock and Curator for the Woodstock Museum Karen Houston says the exhibit really offers some perspective about the war effort at home.
"And it gives you a sense exactly 100 years ago what was happening in Oxford County. How were they dealing with this? This was an international war that was happening and yet even in smaller communities it's having a really serious impact."
As this exhibit reaches the end of the cycle, a new exhibit is already in the works according to Houston.
"It's actually going to be really tied in to Vimy and what was happening with the boys. The actual individual stories. So often when we look at military history we're looking at the larger community and sometimes the actual personal impact is, well, it's much more personal."
Patriotism and Production will be at the Norwich Museum until December 3.
