An individual was injured during an arrest in Woodstock and the SIU has closed the file.
WOODSTOCK - The SIU has completed the investigation of an attempted assault.
On March 14th at around 11:00 P.M., the Woodstock Police responded to a report of an attempted assault in the area of Dundas and Finkle.
A 36-year-old was arrested in relation to the crime but was transported to the hospital, treated, and released for a serious, non-life-threatening injury because of the arrest.
On July 10th, the SIU closed the case and came to the conclusion that there were no grounds to press criminal charges against the officer.
