Perth Wellington MPP Randy Detainee will be working with nurses in Stratford on Monday for Take Your MPP to Work Day.
STRATFORD - The Perth District Health Unit and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario is taking part in the Take your MPP to Work event.
They will be inviting Perth Wellington MPP Randy Detainee to join them on Monday to celebrate public health nursing in Ontario.
Pettapiece will be provided with an overview of public health by Dr. Miriam Klassen who is the Medical Officer of Health and CEO. He will also be visiting areas in Stratford where public health nurses impact the lives of local residents.
The goal of take your MPP to Work is to give politicians on the job experience to better understand the breadth and depth of nursing practice across several health care settings. It gives MPP's an idea what is required to strengthen the system and improve care for the people of Ontario.
This initiative began in 2001 when the three political party leaders went to work with a registered nurse to see first-hand, the skills and expertise required to provide important health care services to Ontarians.
