The OPP offers tips for holiday shoppers
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP are offering up a few holiday shopping tips to protect your gifts from getting stolen this holiday season.
Constable Lisa Narancsik offers up this advice to holiday shoppers.
"If your doing a lot of shopping the best suggestion I could make would be to not carry large amounts of cash, use credit cards or debit cards but also protect them when you are using them. Make sure you have them and don't leave them behind and always remember to shield your pin number. Another suggestion is to not carry a lot of gifts at once, when you start juggling a lot of bags, you could lose one or someone could pick something up, so secure items as you get them safely in your vehicles."
She says one thing to remember is to never leave your valuables in plain sight and always leave your gifts in your trunk so they don't attract the attention of thieves.
Also make sure you are locking your door and keep your wallet and purse safely secured at all times.
