The charity golf tournament, Swing for Safety, is still encouraging people to sign up, and donate before the official June 18th start date.
MOUNT ELGIN - Swing for Safety is making a comeback after two years to host their annual charity fundraiser.
The charity golf tournament is still open for registration, with proceeds will go to the Pinball Clemens Foundation. The Foundation was founded by Mike "Pinball" Clemens and it provides marginalized and racialized youth with educational resources and options in order to successfully integrate themselves into the workforce.
Wes Mazur from Mazur Safety Inc. says the Event will officially start next week, on Saturday, June 18th. They have lots of great prizes up for grabs, including a one-of-a-kind resin coffee table.
"Inside of the resin will be golf-themed stuff so golf turf, tees, and golf balls. It's super awesome so we're going to be having a contest where people can win that."
The event will take place at Oxford Hills, with a start time of 12:30 a.m. for registration, followed by a 1:00 p.m. shotgun. This will also be followed by a nice meal after activities for all participants.
Those interested in sponsoring the tournament or donating to the prize table can send an e-mail to office@mazursafety.com.
The Charity event costs $150 per person or $600 for a team of four. You can register for the tournament online here.
