Local convenience store owner willing to turn half his store into LCBO outlet
A convenience store in Sweaburg is looking to become an LCBO outlet.
Owner of Ritu's Convenience and Food Mart, Bob Pate received a letter of support from Southwest Oxford Council to turn half of his 25 hundred square foot store into an LCBO outlet.
Pate says the closest store to Sweaburg residents is more than 11 kms away, which he says is too far since there is no public transportation.
Pate will now bring his letter of support from council along with a petition with more than 475 signatures to LCBO officials and the Premier in hopes of securing an outlet in the town.
