An investigation is underway after someone stole a white Harley Davidson motorcycle in Paris.
PARIS - The Brant OPP is looking to track down two suspects after a motorcycle theft.
A white Harley Davidson motorcycle was for sale in Paris, and police say the two men presented themselves as potential buyers. They met with the victim Wednesday afternoon and one of them handed over a bank draft before taking the bike.
The owner found out the bank draft was fake afterward, so they tried to get ahold of the buyer on Facebook and found out they were blocked. They also tried to call the buyer through the phone number that was provided, but it went straight to voicemail.
The first suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a blue patterned button-up shirt with short sleeves, dark baggy pants, and grey shorts with white soles during his interaction with the victim.
He had originally contacted the victim through a Facebook account with the name David Glow.
The second suspect is described as a white man who's also believed to be in his 40s with a skinny build, medium-length brown hair, and he spoke with an Eastern European accent. He was wearing a blue t-shirt with grey sweatpants, and black thong flip-flops at the time, and he had tan lines from sunglasses on his face.
The victim was able to provide the Brant OPP with a picture of the first suspect's drivers licence, along with surveillance footage of the suspect's truck and trailer.
Anyone with information should call the Brant OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
