WOODSTOCK - The Huron Park Baptist Church in Woodstock is hosting a free concert at Southside Park every Sunday evening this summer.
Sunday Night in the Park features gospel music starting at 6:55 p.m.
Interim Pastor Mark Lowry says it's a fun event.
"Usually a musical entity that is brought in, a soloist or a quartet or something along that line and then there is a speaker who gives a devotional, part way through the concert."
He says it is always a great time at Southside Park.
"We bring in music groups from various places, this past Sunday night was Lloyd Knight, who is 83 but still did a great job, I thought wow, he still has a strong voice for that age."
You can watch the concert in your car, or sit at the picnic tables or even bring a blanket. It runs ever Sunday night during the summer, unless another event is being put on by the City.
