Police say the driver was going 160 kilometres per hour in the westbound lanes in South-West Oxford.
SWOX - Someone from London has been charged with stunt driving on Highway 401 in South-West Oxford.
The Oxford OPP clocked a vehicle going 160 kilometres per hour in the westbound lanes early Friday morning, and the roads were also wet at the time.
Police say driving at excessive speeds can be dangerous even when when the roads are in prime condition. Adding wet and slippery roads to the mix can result in an even more dangerous situation. It's important to always drive according to the road conditions for all types of weather, not just snow.
The driver faces a 30 day licence suspension, their vehicle was impounded for two weeks, and they could face a $2,000 fine upon conviction.
