Children aged five to 13 are taking part in a March break camp focused on science, technology, engineering and math at the Fusion Centre in Ingersoll.
As Bill Nye the Science Guy is famous for saying, "science rules."
That's essentially the message Partners in Research is working to impart on today's children and leaders of tomorrow at a March break day camp located at the Fusion Youth Activity and Technology Centre in Ingersoll.
"Partners in Research's primary mandate is to bring light to the STEM subjects, science, technology, engineering and math," said Drew Fallowfield, camp director and program coordinator.
Fallowfield said the STEM fields are currently dealing with talent shortages, and part of the camp's aim is to "make kids more aware of what's out there and available for them to go into for career choices." he said.
"It's pretty evident when you see the looks on [the children's] faces that they're enjoying themselves in pretty much everything that we do here." Fallowfield said.
Fallowfield invites parents to bring their children to any of the last remaining days of camp.
