OXFORD COUNTY - Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Oxford and Brant Counties.
Extreme heat today and this evening for portions of Southwestern Ontario.
The daytime maximum temperatures are likely to reach the low thirties with overnight lows near 20 degrees.
Officials warn, that these conditions pose a health risk for especially older adults; infants and young children; and people with chronic illnesses.
To prevent heat stroke, drink plenty of cool liquids before feeling thirsty, keep cool by dressing for the weather and spending a few hours in a cool place.
