
Southwestern Public Health has also confirmed the 68th COVID-19 related death in our region, a man in his 60's from Oxford County.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 10 new cases of COVID-19 today and 13 resolved cases and one additional COVID-19 related death.
The deceased is a man in his 60's from Oxford County. This death is not related to a Long-Term Care or a Retirement Home. The Health Unit does not currently have any outbreaks at LTC or retirement homes in the region. This is the 68th confirmed COVID-19 related death in the Southwestern Public Health Region.

Three people are currently being treated for the virus at the hospital with none in the ICU.
Southwestern Public Health has screened 57 people for a variant of concern, of those cases, 20 are still active. Southwestern Public Health have now administered at least one dose of vaccine to 7,616 people or 5.5% of the population.
