The sixth annual Soupstock soup tasting competition is set to take place at the Woodstock Quality Hotel and Suites on Tuesday November 1st.
WOODSTOCK - Some of the best restaurants and soup makers in Oxford County are coming together to support Domestic Abuse Services Oxford.
Soupstock will be held at the Quality Hotel and Suites in Woodstock, Executive Director of DASO Rhonda Hendel says it will be one of the biggest.
"This year we have the most soup people we've ever had - soup vendors, soup participants, whatever you want to call them - from restaurants - 14. We know if we have 10 we have a good supply, so having 14 is great."
Hendel says the funds raised are crucial to their operation.
"It's just one of a number of events that we do. We do get government funding at Domestic Abuse Services Oxford but it’s not enough, it’s never enough."
Soupstock is happening on Tuesday, November 1st from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Tickets can be bought in advance at both Scotiabanks in Woodstock for $15, or at the door for $20.
