A group of 14-18-year-olds will perform a musical at Theatre Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Theatre Woodstock is bringing Something Rotten to the stage.
The STAGES Senior group is putting on the show, and they are from the ages of 14 to 18. The group performs full-length musicals accompanied by a live band/orchestra. Rendall Lackenbauer is an actor in the play and describes his role.
"I am playing Nigel Bottom. He's sort of this awkward poet who falls in love and tries to figure out what he has to do in the world."
Katie Raymond also has a role in the show.
"I play Minstral. So, Minstral is basically the narrator of the story."
Raymond says she will be the first person people see on stage and the best hook into the story. Marketing and Communications Coordinator of Theatre Woodstock, Sarah Hodgkinson speaks to the play's plot.
"Something Rotten is about two brothers from the Renaissance, the Bottom brothers, and they are trying to figure out something new that can beat Shakespeare."
The production gets underway next Friday and will run until June 1st. Tickets can be purchased on the Theatre Woodstock website.
