A hockey tournament returns to Norwich to help raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
NORWICH - An annual hockey tournament is coming back to Norwich.
Slash the Stigma is entering its 4th year, and it raises money for the Canadian Mental Health Association to be able to put money back into the local communities. Organizer, Kelsey Van Ymeren says when it all got started.
"The tail end of Covid, we were able to host our first tournament. The reception from the community was incredible, how many businesses and volunteers that got behind us was pretty overwhelming."
Van Ymeren says registration is full, but there are ways people can support the cause.
"From a sponsor standpoint, we're accepting all sorts of sponsors, raffle prizes, and anything that anyone wants to contribute. No contribution is too small for us."
It will take place from March 14th to 16th and the public is more than welcome to come and watch, along with participate in the raffle.
