A teen is listed in critical condition after a three vehicle crash on the 401 near Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - An 18 year old woman is in critical condition after a three vehicle crash on the 401 just outside of Woodstock.
The crash happened after police tried to pull over a vehicle carrying four passengers just before midnight last night. When the vehicle tried to pull over near Sweaburg Road it caused a crash with two other vehicles. One of the passengers in the first car was seriously injured and is currently listed in critical condition. Four other people were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital, however they have all been released.
The special investigations unit has been brought in to investigate and have assigned four investigators, one forensic investigator, and two traffic reconstructionists as part of the investigation.
Jason Gennaro with SIU Communications tells Heart FM why the SIU was brought in for the investigation.
"The SIU is brought in whenever there are incidents involving civilians and police that result in serious injury or death or if it involves a sexual assault."
The SIU is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529 Ext. 9036.
